One of the first questions we hear from new buyers is:
Should I choose a wall-mounted perfume vending machine or a stand-alone model?
It is easy to assume that the larger or more expensive machine must be the better option. In practice, it does not work that way. The location usually matters much more than the size of the machine.
A wall-mounted machine may perform better in a busy restroom or narrow gym corridor, while a stand-alone machine is easier to notice in an open shopping mall or hotel lobby.
This guide explains the practical differences between the two formats and helps you choose the machine that fits your venue, available space, and business plan.

Wall-Mounted vs Stand-Alone Perfume Vending Machine: What Is Actually Different?
The P6 wall-mounted perfume vending machine is installed securely against a wall. It does not occupy any floor space, making it suitable for restrooms, changing rooms, corridors, salons, and other compact locations.
The customer uses a 10.1-inch touchscreen to select a fragrance and complete the payment.
The P8 stand-alone perfume vending machine and P10 stand-alone perfume vending machine are freestanding. They do not need to be attached to a wall. Once positioned in the venue, they only need a suitable power supply and internet connection.
- Both stand-alone models include:
- A 10.1-inch customer touchscreen
- A separate 42-inch advertising display
- Remote advertising image and video uploads through the backend
- More visual impact in open spaces
The P6 and P8 each hold five 120 ml perfume bottles. The P10 holds ten 120 ml bottles, allowing the operator to offer more fragrance choices from one machine.
All three models support:
- Pay-per-spray fragrance dispensing
- Adjustable spray volume
- Nayax cashless payment
- Optional coin or bill acceptors
- Wi-Fi connection
- Optional Wi-Fi and 4G configuration
- Remote sales and inventory monitoring
- Custom pricing and fragrance information
- Machine color, logo and exterior branding
- A 12-month warranty on quality-related parts
Our complete machines have CE documentation for the European market. Buyers who need more information about the meaning of CE marking can also refer to the European Commission’s official CE marking guidance.
The differences that normally affect the buying decision are straightforward:
- How the machine is installed
- How much space is available
- Whether a large advertising screen is useful
- How many fragrances the operator wants to offer

Why the P6 Works Well in Restrooms
Restrooms are one of the most natural locations for a wall-mounted perfume vending machine. Space is limited, and a freestanding machine near sinks or doorways creates an obstruction. The P6 mounts to the wall and stays out of the way.
The timing works in your favor too. Customers freshening up before heading back to a restaurant, bar, or hotel event are exactly the kind of impulse buyers this machine is designed for.
Before ordering, check your wall material — concrete, brick, and wood all mount differently. Send us a photo of the location and we’ll advise before production.
Why Many Gyms Start with the P6
Gym corridors, changing rooms, and entrances are a natural fit for the P6. These spaces are often too narrow for a freestanding unit, and a wall-mounted machine doesn’t block members or staff.
The use case makes sense too. People leaving a gym usually want to freshen up before heading back to work or meeting friends.
We’ve worked with European gym operators who started with a single machine at one location — partly to test demand, and partly to learn which fragrances sell, what spray price works locally, and how often the bottles need refilling. Starting small gives you that information before you commit to more machines.

Bars Usually Benefit More from a Stand-Alone Machine
Bars and nightclubs are different from restrooms and gyms — visibility matters more.
In a narrow bar hallway, the P6 still works. But in an open entrance, lounge, or entertainment area, the P8 has a clear advantage. Its 42-inch screen — showing perfume ads, brand videos, venue promotions, or event information — is easy to spot from a distance, especially in a darker environment.
The purchasing behavior also suits fragrance vending. Customers are already socializing and spending, and the cost of one spray is low relative to everything else they’re buying that evening. Recognizable fragrance brands tend to attract attention faster than unfamiliar ones in this kind of setting.
One thing worth knowing: the P8’s screen works best when the venue gives it open space to be seen. A large machine in a cramped spot won’t perform better just because it’s bigger

Choosing the Right Perfume Vending Machine for a Hotel
Not every hotel needs the same machine.
When helping a hotel customer choose a model, one of the first things we ask for is a photo or video of the proposed location. Hotel layouts vary too much to recommend one model without seeing the space.
An open lobby with enough floor space is usually suitable for a P8. The large screen can display:
- Hotel promotions
- Restaurant or spa information
- Local recommendations
- Perfume advertising
- The operator’s own branding
For narrower hotel corridors, elevator areas or restroom entrances, the P6 may be a cleaner and more practical choice.
The important question is not simply, “Is this a hotel?”
It is:
Where inside the hotel will the machine be placed, and how will guests approach it?
We have supplied machines for hotel-related projects in Australia and Europe. The model choice has depended on the property layout rather than one fixed rule.

Shopping Malls: Should You Choose the P8 or P10?
Open shopping mall corridors are where stand-alone perfume vending machines have the clearest visual advantage.
Customers may approach from several directions, so the machine needs to be visible before they reach it. The 42-inch screen on the P8 and P10 helps attract attention and explain the product quickly.
For a single test location, many buyers choose the P8. It offers five fragrance options and the same large advertising screen as the P10, while requiring a smaller initial investment.
- The P10 becomes more useful when the operator wants:
- Ten fragrance options instead of five
- A wider selection for different customer groups
- Longer intervals between bottle replacements
- Fewer service visits across several locations
- More capacity at a high-traffic site
When customers are testing their first mall location, we normally recommend learning from the first machine before adding unnecessary capacity. Once you understand which fragrances sell and how often the machine needs attention, it becomes easier to decide whether the P10 provides a real operational benefit.

A Practical Way to Choose Between the P6, P8 and P10
Choose the P6 wall-mounted model when:
- Floor space is limited
- The location is a restroom, changing room or narrow corridor
- You want to test the business with a lower initial investment
- A separate advertising screen would not add much value
- Five fragrance choices are enough
Choose the P8 stand-alone model when:
- Customers need to notice the machine from a distance
- The venue has enough open floor space
- You want to display advertising images or videos
- The location is a mall, hotel lobby, bar or entertainment venue
- Five fragrance choices are enough
Choose the P10 stand-alone model when:
- You want to offer ten fragrances
- The location has higher traffic
- You manage multiple machines or locations
- Reducing service and refill visits is important
- Five fragrance options are too limited for your business plan
Many operators eventually use more than one model
For example, the same venue could use a P8 in the main lobby and a P6 near a restroom or changing area. Each machine operates independently, so buyers are not locked into one model as the business grows.
What We Actually Know from Customer Projects
We do not want to overstate customer performance.
Most operators do not share complete revenue records with their machine supplier. Even when they do, the figures may not be directly comparable because locations, fragrance brands, prices, rent and customer traffic vary significantly.
What we can say based on the orders we process and the conversations we have with buyers is:
- Restroom and gym operators commonly choose the P6 because of space limitations
- Shopping mall and hotel operators are more likely to consider the P8 or P10
- Bar and nightclub projects often benefit from the visibility of the P8
- Familiar fragrance brands can be easier to sell in impulse-purchase locations
- A larger machine does not guarantee higher revenue
- Location quality normally matters more than machine size
We regularly see buyers spend a lot of time comparing technical specifications before they have confirmed the location.
In practice, we spend more time asking about the venue than discussing the machine size. A P6 in a busy, well-chosen location can perform better than a P10 placed where few people notice it.

Before Shipping
Every machine is assembled and tested before it leaves our facility — touchscreen, spray system, pumps, nozzles, payment connection, backend communication, and lighting. We send photos and video to the customer before the balance payment is arranged.
The machine ships in a wooden crate for international transport.
After delivery, we provide setup instructions, video tutorials, and remote support via video call when needed. Common parts — pumps, tubes, nozzles, bottles — are inexpensive and can be replaced without returning the machine.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the main difference between a wall-mounted and stand-alone perfume vending machine?
The P6 is mounted against a wall and does not occupy floor space. It has a 10.1-inch customer touchscreen but no separate advertising display.
The P8 and P10 are freestanding and include both a 10.1-inch touchscreen and a separate 42-inch advertising screen. The P8 holds five perfume bottles, while the P10 holds ten.
Which perfume vending machine is better for a shopping mall?
The P8 and P10 are more commonly used in open shopping mall locations because their 42-inch displays make them easier to notice from a distance.
For one test location, the P8 is usually sufficient. The P10 is more suitable when the operator wants ten fragrances, more capacity or fewer restocking visits.
Which machine is better for a hotel?
It depends on the exact location inside the hotel.
A P8 may suit an open lobby, while the P6 may be more practical near an elevator, restroom or narrow corridor. Sending us a photo or short video of the proposed installation area usually makes the recommendation much easier.
Does the P6 have an advertising screen?
The P6 has a 10.1-inch customer touchscreen, but it does not have the separate 42-inch advertising display included with the P8 and P10.
The touchscreen is used for selecting fragrances, viewing product information and completing the purchase.
Can I upload my own advertising content?
Yes.
Operators using the P8 or P10 can upload their own advertising images and videos through the backend for display on the 42-inch screen.
Customers can also customize the machine exterior, including the logo, color, stickers or wrapping.
We do not offer customization of the software interface itself.
Can the P6 be installed on drywall?
It depends on the wall structure and the mounting support behind it.
The machine should not be fixed only to weak surface material. Before installation, the buyer should confirm that the wall and mounting points can safely support the machine.
Send us photos and information about the wall material, and we can help review the proposed installation method. A qualified local installer should make the final on-site assessment.
Can I move a P8 or P10 to another location?
Yes.
Because the P8 and P10 are freestanding, they can be moved to another suitable venue. You will need to consider the machine’s size and weight, protect it during transport, and reconnect the power and internet at the new location.
This flexibility can be useful when testing different venues.
What is the difference between the P8 and P10?
The main difference is perfume capacity.
The P8 holds five 120 ml bottles. The P10 holds ten 120 ml bottles. Both have a 10.1-inch customer touchscreen, a 42-inch advertising screen and the same main payment and backend functions.
Choose the P10 when you need more fragrance variety or want to reduce the frequency of bottle replacement.
Can I start with one machine?
Yes. Our minimum order is one machine.
Many new operators prefer to test one location before ordering additional units. This allows them to learn which fragrances, prices and venues work best in their market.
Do the machines support card and contactless payments?
All three models can support Nayax vending payment systems, including compatible card and contactless payment methods available in the customer’s market.
Nayax availability and account registration depend on the operating country. We recommend confirming local support before placing the order.
Optional coin and bill acceptors can also be added. The machine can support up to two payment methods at the same time.
See our perfume vending machine payment systems guide for more information.
What happens if the machine has a problem after delivery?
The machine includes a 12-month warranty covering quality-related parts.
We provide support through:
Video calls
Troubleshooting instructions
Setup videos
Remote diagnosis
Spare-parts shipping
We do not have local repair centers in every country, but many common issues can be identified and handled remotely without returning the complete machine.
Still Not Sure Which Machine Fits Your Venue?
Send us:
Your country
The type of venue
A photo or video of the proposed location
Your preferred payment method
The number of fragrances you want to offer
We will recommend the model that makes the most practical sense and provide a current machine and shipping quotation.
We do not automatically recommend the larger machine. Sometimes the P6 is the better option, even when the customer originally asks about the P8 or P10.
